Edna "Chub&" Eblen Lund, 91, a long time resident of Atlantic, passed away September 28, 2006 at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center in Atlantic, Iowa.Chub was born the daughter of Edward and Elfrieda Poulsen on January 21, 1915 in Grand Island, Nebraska. She was married to George Eblen on November 30, 1933 in Atlantic, Iowa.She worked for many years at Publisher's News in Atlantic. During the war, she worked at Blue Star in the powdered egg division in the old Herring Building and at the Atlantic Canning Factory in Atlantic. Chub loved spending time teaching her grandchildren the arts of sewing, upholstering and fishing. She enjoyed needlepoint and sold her work to many admirers. Her family will remember her for how she participated in support of whatever they took interest. She was a lot of fun and tickled the family when she became the owner of a Super Sport 409 Chevy that she was very proud of. She is survived by her three sons; Richard Lee Eblen and his wife, Loretta of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Gene Moore Eblen and his special friend, Barb Wolff of Walnut, Iowa, and Joseph "Joe" Matthew Eblen and his wife, Donna of Lewis, Iowa; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; her sister, Junette Kees of Atlantic, Iowa; and a number of nieces and nephews.Chub was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George; her brother, Doyle Poulson; her sister, Marie Render; her great grand-daughter, Jennifer Prince; and her daughter-in-law, Evelyn Eblen. Her funeral service is set for Tuesday, October 3 at 2:30 P.M. at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa. Kenneth Perry of Salt Lake City, Utah will officiate. Following, the committal will be in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic.
